Installed on the contact surface between the two components, the lube plate can replace or supplement traditional grease lubrication. Through its own low-friction properties, it reduces frictional resistance at the contact surface, prevents direct metal-to-metal wear, and extends the service life of both the 5th wheel hitch and the trailer kingpin
